Heathrow UTC is an innovative, employer-focused, high-tech school for students aged from 14 to 19, specialising in Aviation Engineering.
UTC Heathrow is different to an existing traditional school – we deliver first class education in an environment that feels like the workplace. This is achieved by delivering the curriculum through employer-led projects which tackle real industry issues.
Responding to growing demands from the aviation industry for well-educated, high-calibre, professional engineers and technicians, the UTC combines hands-on and minds-on approaches to learning, integrating national curriculum requirements with technical and practical elements.
The UTC partnership brings together, Brunel University London, and major local employers British Airways plc, Virgin Atlantic, and Heathrow Airport. The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and the Aviation Skills Partnership (ASP) also provide superb links to the wider aviation industry.
Heathrow UTC is a member of Activate Learning Education Trust, a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) established by Activate Learning. The Activate Learning Education Trust exists to deliver excellence in education and transform lives through learning. Our schools to date are: UTC Swindon, UTC Reading, UTC Oxfordshire, Bicester Technology Studio, The Bicester School and Theale Green School.
