About Media and Performing Arts

“We've stepped up to the challenge of providing a portfolio that ensures a rich mix of courses to aid in the individual's progression. Our ability to remain relevant and appeal to our students means consistent investment in all our specialists’ disciplines that include Media, Performing Arts, Music and Dance.”

The extensive portfolio currently includes moving image media, e-media, performing arts (acting), dance, contemporary music practice, film studies and digital imaging.

The portfolio in this curriculum area includes a range of vocational and academic programmes that are complimentary allowing students to study from an Introductory level 1, through to MA by Independent Study, in both full and part time routes.

Combined with professional teaching and academic qualifications, the majority of staff are practitioners, with a wealth of experience in a number of areas. The current mix includes scriptwriters, journalists, photographers, graphic artists, actors, dancers and film editors.
With a programme of events and activities designed to promote that work, students learn, very quickly, a whole range of transferable skills that will benefit them with future careers.Media and Performing Arts progression routes
