Staff from across Activate Learning and beyond enjoyed a day of professional development at the group’s third teaching and learning conference.
ReadTL16 took place at Reading College on Wednesday (6 July). The event included a chance to share ideas and get inspiration from Activate Learning practitioners and external guests.
Workshops sessions included Poundland Pedagogy, the brain and why it matters, digital skills, connecting education with industry and tips for embedding English and maths.
Delegates were the first to receive the new Learning Philosophy in Action brochure, showcasing examples of good practice from across the group, as well as a series of learning philosophy postcards with links to digital resources.
Comments shared on twitter throughout the day included:
- @NeilBardo: #ReadTL16 digital skills for employment good session, an eye opener
- @KatiaCole1: #ReadTL16 Great turn out and super enthusiastic participation in Active Teaching Activities and Connecting with a Bang!
