Students across all three Activate Learning colleges were invited to put their money skills to the test with a financial challenge.
The students were tasked with putting together a detailed list of prices for everyday items included in an average weekly Tesco shop, and to submit an accurate total.
This project was part of Money Skills Week, run by Student Support to help students understand how to manage their money before moving onto university or starting work.
Of all the entries, Timothy Roberts from the Foundation Learning department at City of Oxford College was victorious! Timothy’s entry for the total was only 29p off the correct answer and he was awarded a £20 Amazon gift voucher by Georgia Pravda from Student Support for his excellent estimation.
