Experience Oxfordshire has launched a live project for Travel and Tourism students at City of Oxford College.
The visitor information service is inviting the Level 2 students to design a window display for their prominent Broad Street shop.
The winning display will be brought to life and seen by the thousands of tourists who visit the premises to seek advice, buy tickets to attractions and book accommodation.
Vanessa Allen, Customer Services Development Manager from Experience Oxfordshire, came to the Oxford city centre campus to present the assignment and gave a thorough overview of the importance of tourism in Oxford. Around 540,000 people walk through the doors of Experience Oxfordshire’s Visitor Information Centre each year and the students were encouraged to consider whether they would like to target a certain type of customer or focus on a particular theme.
The winning window design will be displayed this coming winter.
