Members of staff from HMP Bullingdon, Grendon and Spring Hill, Huntercombe and HMYOI Aylesbury visited City of Oxford College today (16 September) to talk to Public Services students about the range of career paths on offer within the prison service.
The visit was part of a big recruitment drive in the area to encourage students to look at alternative career opportunities available within the public services sector.
Students worked in groups with prison staff who covered a wide range of roles and who educated the students on both the duties required in their role and the range of routes to take to work in that area.
Jeannette Norris, Human Resources Business Partner at HMPS said: “There are so many career paths to pursue within the prison service. We are always looking to recruit staff with an interest in rehabilitating offenders back into the community to lead a meaningful and purposeful life”.
