Two HE Fairs, held this week, helped students to plan their next steps as they start applying to university.
The events, held at Reading College and City of Oxford College, attracted more than 40 universities from all over Britain.
With the first UCAS application deadline for 2017 entry in January, the events were a timely opportunity to help students select their options. The fairs enabled students to talk with representatives from each university and gain a better understanding of what each had to offer.
Representatives from Activate Enterprise were also on hand to promote apprenticeship routes to a higher education qualification.
Subject specific talks were available throughout the day, led by our teaching staff on areas including the arts, business and sport, with an external representative leading a talk on hospitality.
Around 500 students attended the events, from our own colleges as well as from local schools.
The days were very successful, with students interacting well with the exhibitors and coming away with heavy bags filled with prospectuses from various universities, ready to decide what path they will take in the following years.
