Activate Learning group members have been chosen as finalists in three categories of a national awards scheme.
The TES FE Awards shortlist, announced today (12 February), includes two nominations for Reading College and one for Activate Enterprise, in the following categories:
- Outstanding use of technology for improving teaching and learning: Reading College
- Best teaching and learning initiative: Reading College
- Apprenticeship programme of the year: Activate Enterprise
The shortlisting for Reading College in the technology category recognises the college’s innovative use of browser-based technologies to extend students’ learning and improve outcomes. The shortlisting for best teaching and learning initiative is for Pass It On, which also attracted the Association of Colleges Beacon Award for Staff Development 2015.
Activate Enterprise has been shortlisted for its classic vehicle restoration apprenticeship, delivered in partnership with Banbury and Bicester College. The apprenticeship is meeting a skills gap in the classic vehicle industry by developing the next generation of skilled technicians and specialists.
The TES FE Awards celebrate and reward the dedication and expertise of people and teams who improve the skill levels of young people and adult learners.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Friday 22 April.
