City of Oxford College is inviting potential students to discover what’s on offer at an open event on Saturday 17 October.
The college’s Oxpens Road and Blackbird Leys campuses will open to visitors from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
The events are designed for current Year 10 and 11 students, and their parents, who want to explore options after GCSEs. It is also mature students returning to study and those who may have started out on another route this year and now want to change track.
Ian Francis, principal of City of Oxford College, said: “Our open events provide students and parents with an opportunity to find out about the wide range of courses available after completing GCSEs.
Our staff will be on hand to provide advice and guidance on the right career pathway whilst offering visitors the chance to see our industry standard facilities.”
The Oxpens Road campus offers vocational learning programmes in art and design, business, care, childcare and health, computing and ICT, hair and beauty, hospitality and catering, media, engineering, performing arts, sport and sports science, travel and tourism and public services.
The Blackbird Leys campus provides programmes in construction and building services, motor vehicle studies and engineering from September 2016. It will also be the home to the forthcoming Oxfordshire Centre for Technology, Innovation and Skills, a state of the art STEM centre opening in September 2016.
