GCSE Studies

This full time course is aimed at students who have not achieved the grades they need at GCSE in order to progress in their education or training. It is also suitable for students who have, for one reason or another, not taken GCSEs.

The Course

Students will study English, Maths, Science and Sociology GCSEs. In addition all students will be enrolled for the Extended Project (Level 2) and IT Key Skills. Students will also be involved in a full tutorial and enrichment programme.

Entry Qualifications

Students should normally have at least ‘D' grades or the equivalent in GCSE English, Maths and Science. In exceptional cases, students with lower grades or no grades may be accepted. All candidates will be interviewed.

Progression

Successful students may progress to A-levels, National Diploma Courses, other vocational courses, modern apprenticeships or employment.
