English for Speakers of other Languages

esol classESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) courses are for people who live permanently in the UK and who need to improve their English.  

• All students in our courses take either the Trinity Certificate in ESOL Skills for Life exams or Certificate in Adult Literacy if that is more appropriate to your needs.
• All our courses cover citizenship, Life in the UK, study skills, speaking and Listening, reading and writing
• All students are offered the opportunity to take an Adult Numeracy qualification.

If you are a temporary resident in the UK or wish to get an internationally recognised Cambridge Certificate e.g. First Certificate in English you can join one of our courses in English as a Foreign Language (EFL).

All courses give you access to advice and guidance so that you can progress to further and higher education or employment.

Typical courses that ESOL students progress onto are:

•  Access to Higher Education courses
•  The International Study Programme
•  ESOL and Motor Vehicle level 1
•  Building Skills for Women
•  Office Skills in IT
•  GCSE's or A Levels
•  First Diplomas in Hairdressing, Health & Social Care & Engineering
•  Hospitality & Catering Skills certificate
•  Fast Track Accountancy levels 2 & 3
•  Level 1 Plumbing & many many more!

You can study English in a variety of different ways to suit your needs. If we don't have what you need, please tell us and we will do our best to help you!! We also work very closely with other ESOL providers in Oxfordshire so can refer you to their courses if it is appropriate.

All courses require an assessment and interview.
