Oxfords Women’s Training (OWT) is a department offering training in a unique 'women only´ environment focusing on developing essential skills and confidence building. Our small team of staff are passionate about serving  woman who have been out of the learning environment for a long time and need to up-skill for better prospects. Our courses are a stepping-stone for women who are looking at progressing into further education, voluntary work and work opportunities.

OWT at OCVC is dedicated to  provide learners with an opportunity to excel. Particular areas covered are :

Our team pay special attention to building women's confidence and encourage personal growth, by delivering excellent teaching and believing in every learner’s potential to achieve.
We do this with practical courses, catered to provide basic and interpersonal skills.
Courses offering Literacy, Numeracy and Information Technology offer recognized  qualifications.

All our courses run during school hours and within the school term. An initial assessment and interview is necessary where our tutors will discuss the course details, requirements and answer any of your questions.

A limited amount of support for childcare is available for eligible (means tested benefit required) and on approval of Discretionary Learners Support application.
