About Oxford Womens Training
Oxfords Womens Training (OWT) is founded on the recognition that gender inequality persists in many areas of our society. Women of diverse backgrounds and experiences face multiple forms of discrimination and disadvantage. There are barriers which restrict women's choice of employment and learning options.
In addition, women's opportunities are limited by caring responsibility for children and other dependants.
OWT at OCVC promotes gender equality in learning and work with particular emphasis on areas where women are under-represented:
| • Construction • Media |
• Motor Vehicle • Technology |
We pay special attention to building women's confidence and equipping them with the skills to return to employment.
We do this with specifically designed courses, in a women friendly learning environment, using recognised qualifications.
We specialise in providing training in non-traditional, practical and technical skills where there are growing job opportunities. Our range of courses caters for beginners, improvers and those wanting to progress to an advanced level.
We also support women at all stages in their careers who wish to return to work in Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) after a career gap.
Daytime courses run during school hours and within the school term.
