About Engineering

“The engineering area continues to grow and develop innovative courses that focus on employer’s needs and specialist areas of work including Electronics, Motorsports and Composites.”

The Engineering Department is equipped with modern facilities so that you can develop the skills needed for work in today's engineering industry. A range of courses is provided to meet your needs from basic training through to university entrance level.

Facilities include an electronics and mechanical science laboratory, oxy-acetylene, TIG and MIG welding bays, mechanical and maintenance engineering workshops including lathes, milling machines, grinders and CNC machines.

Our Performance Engineering and Motorsport programmes will be delivered in our new centre in Bicester, which forms part of a National Centre of Vocational Excellence.
