The Bicester Performance Engineering Centre is the newest of OCVC's four college sites, providing specialised training and education to the Motorsports industry.

This facility offers workshops replicating industry areas:

• Fabrication and welding - Featuring the latest TIG welding technology
• Engineering machining - Including CNC machining and material testing
• Hand fit workshop
• Motorsport workshop - Including sub-assembly and engine rebuild
• Specialist projects workshops
• Classrooms - equipped with data projectors and internet access

As part of a government designated Centre of Vocational Excellence for Motorsport Engineering we are linked with another Institute to form the National College for Motorsport.

Recognised by an industry panel brought together as the lead college in providing specialist vocational education and training OCVC was originally requested by leading companies within the Motorsports industry twelve years ago to formulate a training solution to enable the industry to take on new trainees to meet their requirement for new staff with updated skills.

The College has worked with Motorsport Companies and the Sector Skills Council to write a series of standards from which competencies and knowledge requirements could be established to develop the now established industry specific qualifications.

We provide apprenticeship schemes for those employed within the Motorsports industry and Full time courses for those wishing to enter the industry.
