First aid, security and uniformed public services
People who work in first aid, security and the uniformed public services (police, ambulance, fire, prison and armed forces) are vital for our safety at work and in the community.
At OCVC we provide professional training and qualifications in each of these areas. See below to find out more.
First aid and security
The short courses we run at Oxford & Cherwell Valley College cover the following areas:
• first aid at work, emergency first aid, paediatric first aid and first-aid refresher courses
• CCTV operations, door supervision, security, conflict management and awards for personal licence holders
All of our courses are approved and recognised by official awarding bodies. They’ll help you to learn new skills, start a career or boost your current career.
If you’re responsible for security or first aid in the workplace at your company, talk to us about group training and in-company training.
For more information, see all of our courses. Alternatively, call 01865 550 550.
Uniformed public services
If you want a career in the police force, armed forces, ambulance service, fire brigade or prison service, look at our public services diplomas.
See all of our courses and look for the Diploma/Extended Diploma in Public Services.
Developed in consultation with each of the services, and taught by experienced staff, our diplomas help you get the knowledge, communication skills, self-discipline and teamwork skills you need for a successful career.
