OCVC offers a variety of Foundation Learning courses with a range of starting points designed to help you reach your individual goals. Our supportive environment provides opportunity for you to be successful, make progress and develop in confidence, helping you towards a bright future.
Skills to help you reach your goals
We have a choice of courses for 16-18 year olds from Entry Level to Level 1, all offering you the opportunity to develop a range of skills that will help you reach your individual goals in everyday life and work. You can learn new practical and vocational skills, as well as Functional Skills in English, maths and ICT.
Is a Foundation Learning course for you?
A Foundation Learning course may be helpful to you if you have have left school without the qualfications you needed to progress to a full time level 1 or 2 course, or are finding it hard to find work. Alternatively, you may have attended a special school or had significant support throughout mainstream school and now want to increase your independence and employability skills. You may have a learning difficulty or disability, autism or Asperger Syndrome or have a statement of educational need. If this is the case we will work with you to seek the best possible package to suit your needs.
