Get That Job
With the UK still on the slow road to recovery after the longest ever recession, we’re responding by continuing to run our highly successful Get That Job programme.
It gives you the skills, training, support and advice you need to find the job you want, and it gives you opportunities to continue your training once you’ve got a job.
Get That Job helps if you want to change direction, retrain or boost your skills too.
Courses are free if you are unemployed or at risk of redundancy. To find out more about eligibility for free courses, please contact our Get That Job team on 01865 550 550.
“This course motivated me to work towards my goal of going back into work, as well as making me aware of what was required to enter that industry” – student who completed both CCTV and Door Supervision courses
How does Get That Job work?
The programme works in three stages:
1.
Get going
When you apply for Get That Job training, you will be invited to an interview session with our Jobs Zone advisor and attend a two-day Starter Induction Workshop. This will help us to assess your needs and put together a support and training package
2.
Get learning
The next step is to enrol on the agreed course on the next available start date. You can see a list of available courses in ICT, accounting and bookkeeping, construction, engineering, health and social care, hospitality and catering, security, and teaching and training
3.
Get on!
Once you are back in work, you can continue your training with further courses at OCVC – check online for more details
With Get That Job, you get support at every stage of the process. If you need advice or help with childcare, dyslexia support, hard-of-hearing support or English and Maths skills, please call us.
Come and join us! We look forward to getting you back to work.
