You are entitled to;
Financial support and assistance
Including a Guaranteed Bursary which will be paid directly to your bank account which is subject to attendance and good behaviour. You can apply for additional funds towards course related costs, for things like kit, books, equipment and exam fees through the Course Costs Bursary. You will also be able to get some help with travel costs
A College Support Plan
Which is led by YOU and helps us make reasonable adjustments for you at times when you need a little flexibility. It will ensure the right support is in place for you from the very beginning of your course. It is recommended that you have one even if you’re an absolute star and really want to have a totally new experience at college.
Confidential 1:1s with the Student Success Coordinator
Who will be there to help you get through, to solve problems, to celebrate when you do well and talk to other professionals on your behalf. She will be your personal adviser, linking with teaching staff and the Leaving Care Team at Oxfordshire County Council and will make sure your personal information is only shared with the people you are happy to share it with.
Put your views forward and contribute
To Learner Voice activities and participate as a college citizen. We will encourage you to get involved with our Student Union and take part.
Have a peer mentor
So you can talk to someone your own age, who knows your subject and get help with your coursework, organisation skills, revision techniques and meeting people.
