International students
All the full-time Level 3 courses and above at Oxford & Cherwell Valley College (OCVC) are available to international students. We welcome students from all countries, and you will be part of a diverse community in a friendly and supportive College.
Study in a famous county
Oxford is a wonderful place to live and study – famous the world over for its cultural and university heritage. More than 30,000 students from all over the world study in Oxford, enjoying its stunning architecture, vibrancy and youthful atmosphere. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs in the City, and you can also enjoy rowing, punting, the theatre and museums. Banbury is a pretty historic market town, famed for Banbury cakes and the childrens' nursery rhyme, "Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross".
All of our campuses are easy to find and well-placed. Our Oxford City Centre and Banbury campuses are within walking distance of their historic centres - wonderful places to enjoy a wide range of social, cultural and relaxation activities. Our Bicester campus is at the heart of ‘Motorsport Valley’ offering the full motorsports experience to our engineering students. Blackbird Leys is only a short bus-ride away from the centre of Oxford, and has some good shopping and leisure amenities on its doorstep.
Support for international students
We are very supportive of our international students: we offer special English courses if your first language is not English, and can help you to find accommodation with host families. As well as the varied social calendar on offer, we run special events to bring our international students together.
Good success rates
As Oxfordshire’s premier college of further education, OCVC boast some of the best pass rates in the country for our full-time courses. For example, our A Level students achieved the best rates ever this summer - out of 341 entries across 20 subjects, the pass rate was 99%, and 49% achieved A and B grades. We also achieve excellent rates for our work-related courses, due to our close contact with industry.
