What are apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships are one of the most traditional forms of vocational training available across all industry sectors and are an excellent way of gaining nationally recognised qualifications whilst working and gaining real workplace experience. As an apprentice, you can earn as you learn.

Currently over 1,000 people, of all ages, are on an apprenticeship programme with OCVC. The apprenticeships are associated with nearly 500 separate employers, primarily across Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley.

OCVC has for many years been the largest provider of apprenticeships across Oxfordshire and regularly produces high success rates, well in advance of national average performance.  Learner satisfaction, measured by a national framework, also rates OCVC’s apprenticeship programmes highly.

If you would like more information about apprenticeships, please contact Employer Services.  Any apprenticeship vacancies that the college is aware of will be advertised on the National Apprenticeship Service vacancies website.  Please see link in box to the right.
