Oxford & Cherwell Valley College aims to support the continued prosperity of the region and contribute to the community by building the self belief and skills of its students so they can lead successful and rewarding lives.
The College’s governing body is also known as the Oxford & Cherwell Valley College Corporation. Its membership is a mixture of highly committed external members, who are volunteers, drawn from a range of backgrounds including education, business and local government, as well as student and staff members, and the Principal.
Corporation members oversee the strategic direction of the College. We appoint senior post holders who are responsible for running the College on a day-to-day basis. We are also expected to:
- Ensure the solvency of the College
- Safeguard public funds and assets in our care
- Approve the annual budget
- Determine the College mission.
